Paul Alden is Here!

After 6.5 hours of labor, Paul Alden Rulis was born on May 6th at 4pm on the dot. He weighed in at 7lbs 11oz and is 19.5 inches long. It was love at first sight. We were lucky to have a fantastic photographer on hand for the birth, so those photos will be up shortly. Until then, here are a few that Nate took:

A quick update

Hi all-just a quick update from our house. I'm currently 37 and a half weeks pregnant and more than ready to have this baby. Unfortunately, as of my doctor's appointment last Wednesday, not much progress has been made. Luckily, Nate is off all week except Wednesday, so we'll be taking care of last minute errands and giving the house a good deep cleaning.

In other news, Avery starts her swimming refresher course tomorrow to get ready for the summer. The weather's been so nice the last few weekends, we've been spending them outside in the pool and BBQing.

Easter 2010

The Rulis family had a great Easter weekend. We did brunch and an egg hunt on Saturday and then church and dinner on Sunday. Avery LOVED meeting the Easter bunny and running around for eggs, not to mention all of the treats in her Easter basket. She is really starting to look more and more like a little girl and less like a baby, which is bittersweet for her dad and I. One thing is for sure, though, she sure is beautiful! My Belly

Well, as of Thursday, I am 34 weeks pregnant and we finally got around to taking some photos of my belly. I dragged Nate downtown and convinced him to snap some shots. Not bad, huh?
