Cuteness

I took this picture for Avery's God-mother's birthday gift, but I thought it was too cute not to share with everyone. Is she not the most adorable thing you've ever seen??

Long Weekend in Oregon

Our family just got back from spending a long weekend in Oregon. It was wonderful to have some time with Nate's parents and just relax. We went for walks, got Avery's haircut, Nate spend one day fishing with his dad while us girls had a play date with the little one from down the way. Nate and I spend a day in downtown Portland  and even squeezed a date night in there. We're very excited to go back in September for a whole week! Here are some pictures from the trip.
Going for a walk with Nana
Avery loved feeding and "mooing" at the cows
Walking the property around the house
Picking wild blackberries on our walk
Avery LOVED the firetruck
McKenna's not so sure about Ave's kisses
Checking each other out
Not a bad view, huh?
ummm, yes please!
Got to love Mexican coke
One of the best sandwiches ever
We waited 30 minutes in line to get donuts--it was worth it.
Yes, that's a maple bar with bacon on it
This pretty much sums up our day downtown.

The view from Nate's front yard.

April's Maternity Session

Yesterday I was lucky to have the opportunity to take some maternity pictures for a good friend of mine. With her permission, I wanted to share some of the photos. I'll just say that taking good pictures is easy when you have a beautiful subject.

It's been too long

Hey everyone, sorry for the long delay in updating. We've been busy playing in the pool, celebrating Nate and my sister's birthday, and Nate went to Denver to celebrate his brother's bachelor party. Avery is saying new words everyday, with her current favorites being "yellow, green, blue and shoe". We leave for Oregon on Wednesday to spend four days with Nate's parents. We're so excited to get out of town and the heat. I promise we'll have lots of pictures when we get back on Sunday!
